WHO WE ARE

"Lighting the path for generations"

Education Needs All (ENA) is a youth and refugee-led non-governmental organization founded in 2022 and officially registered with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) of South Sudan under Registration Number 5716 in 2024.

ENA was born from a foundational conviction:

"Access to opportunity must be transformed into responsibility to expand opportunity for others."

Guided by our philosophy, “Help One, Help All,” we view young people not as challenges to be addressed, but as potential to be unlocked.

Education Needs All

Our Philosophy

Help One, Help All

When one young person gains access to opportunity, entire communities benefit. Individual success becomes collective transformation.

WHY ENA EXISTS

Bridging the Opportunity Gap

South Sudan is home to one of the youngest populations in the world, representing immense potential for innovation, leadership, and national development. Across the country, young people continue to demonstrate remarkable resilience, creativity, and ambition, driven by a shared desire to contribute to their communities and build a brighter future.

The Challenge

As South Sudan continues its journey of growth and development, expanding access to quality education, mentorship, leadership development, entrepreneurship opportunities, and future-ready skills remains essential to unlocking the full potential of this generation. According to the World Bank (2024), more than 70% of young people are unemployed or underemployed, while UNESCO (2022) estimates that less than 1% of learners transition to university education. Digital literacy levels also remain limited, reflecting the need for greater investment in digital inclusion and future-ready skills. These realities highlight the importance of strengthening pathways that connect young people to education, skills development, and meaningful opportunities.

Our Response

We believe that when young people are equipped with the right opportunities, they become innovators, entrepreneurs, peacebuilders, and ethical leaders capable of transforming their communities and shaping a more prosperous future.

ENA exists to ensure that no young person's future is limited by the circumstances into which they are born. We empower underprivileged young people with the knowledge, skills, opportunities, and networks to unlock their potential, pursue their aspirations, and become the leaders, innovators, and changemakers who will shape a better future for their communities and the world.

OUR AIM

Unlocking Potential. Creating Opportunity. Transforming Lives.

ENA is building an integrated ecosystem that equips underserved young people with the knowledge, skills, opportunities, and confidence to shape their own futures.

The Transformation We Seek

ENA enables every underserved young person to transition:

EDUCATION AT THE CENTER

SDG 4: Quality EducationAs the Foundation for Transformation

ENA's focus areas and programmes are structured around ten interconnected Strategic Transformation Pillars aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030).

At the centre of our model is SDG 4: Quality Education, which serves not only as a standalone priority, but also as a powerful accelerator for progress across all other development outcomes.

We recognise education as the primary catalyst for poverty reduction, economic empowerment, gender equality, peacebuilding, innovation, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
